| We make our own gelatinized fish and coral
food, improved from the Mystic Aquarium Diet, widely used by public
aquariums worldwide. We modify it with color enhancers, multivitamins,
ingredients to prevent and reverse H.L.L.E., along with some other
ingredients we find beneficial for coral growth, as well as fish growth
, and disease resistance. We feed this gelatinized diet to all our fish
including the breeders, plus our coral polyps from the largest to the
smallest. 8 ounces of this food shredded
like cheddar cheese is $10.99. This food can be blended in saltwater,
picked up with a baster and fed to the polyps with great success. Best
to stop water movement for 20 minutes or so to give the polyps a chance
to take it in. Like any food, a week or so is required for the polyps to
react properly to the food. If some falls off the polyps, it will fuel a
small bloom of bacteria, which also will be utilized by most polyps as
food. Yes, most corals and other polyps utilize bacteria as food. The
fallen food will also improve the density of copepods, and other shrimp
like organisms, to the benefit of the food chain. Being gelatin based,
it can be liquefied in the microwave and additions can be added, such as
garlic for parasite control, or blended shell-on raw shrimp for stronger
and better egg development in your breeding fish. We've been using and
